Summary: This tutorial will teach you how to change the ring tone of incoming calls so you can tell the difference between calls originating from TricomVoIP and incoming calls.

In this tutorial I will be using a Yeastar S20 PBX with a Yealink T28 Phone. Settings name's may vary slightly depending on your phone/PBX.

Step 1:

Firstly we need to set a custom ring tone on our PBX's inbound route(s).

- Login to your PBX and navigate to "Settings" then "Call Control"

- Edit your Inbound Route

- Find the setting "Distinctive Ringtone" and enter a name for your custom
ringtone. (Setting may be called "Custom Ringtone" or equivalent. For this
tutorial I have used incoming as a name.)

- Save and apply the settings

Step 2:

Next we need to set a custom ringtone on our Yealink phone.

- Login to your phone's administration panel by entering its IP Address into a
web browser and navigate to "Settings"

- Find setting menu "Ring" (on other phones this may vary)

- Set 1st "Internal Ringer Text" to the custom name you set back in step 1.

- Choose a custom ring tone from the drop box.

- Confirm / Save settings and test.
